How do I assign a QR code to an inventory item?

To assign a QR code to an inventory item in the app, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the item's detail view and select "Assign Barcode". Then scan the QR code.

The code is checked automatically: if it is not already in use, it is assigned to the inventory item.
