How do I analyze issues with process inputs?

When a process is carried out during an issue, you often record additional details in it, for example the clothing size when issuing workwear or a finding when handing over a device. The report Issues with Process Inputs shows these details together with the booking so that you can analyze your issues completely.

What the report shows

The report lists all issues in the selected period that have a linked process. This applies equally to inventory, quantity inventory, sets and consumables. Each row shows the date, inventory type, name, storage, recipient, the quantity with unit for quantity inventory and consumables, the commission and the names of the processes that were carried out.

Processes of the sender and of the recipient are both included, i.e. processes with the trigger “Issue, sender” or “Issue, recipient”, regardless of whether they were mandatory or selected voluntarily. Only completed processes count; cancelled or still open processes are left out. Issues without a completed process do not appear in the report; use the other reports for those.

Input fields as columns

Each input field of the process templates involved gets its own column in the group Process Inputs. The column name is the label of the element in the template. If several templates are involved in the period, the template name precedes the label, for example “Handover check: Finding”.

Elements of the types text, number, decimal number, yes/no, date, single select, multi select, radio button and custom field appear as columns. Elements without an input value such as text block, signature, image, document, location, inspection result, status change, storage transfer or reminder are not shown as columns. For a multi select, the selected values are separated by commas in the cell; for yes/no, the cell shows “Ja” or “Nein”.

If several processes belong to one issue, for example one of the sender and one of the recipient, the values of all processes appear in the same row.

How to open the report

  1. Open Reports in the menu.
  2. Under “Choose report”, select the report Issues with Process Inputs in the category Inventory & Stock.
  3. Set the period. All issues whose booking date lies within the period are evaluated.
  4. Click Display.

Filtering and exporting

Use the column filters to narrow down the report, for example to a recipient, a storage or a specific input value. Clicking the name opens the detail view of the inventory, clicking the recipient opens their detail view. With Download CSV you export the result with all columns, including the process inputs, for further processing in Excel or another program.

Requirements

For values to appear in the report, the process template must have a trigger for the issue and contain input fields. How to create templates and link them to an issue is described in the articles about processes. Issues booked before processes were introduced have no linked process and therefore do not appear in the report.
